COVID-19 might be causing a lot of changes to be made to your lifestyles and communities, but we're confident that it won't stop your child from getting the important, life-changing therapy they need during these unpredictable and unusual times.

We're adapting to ensure your child's needs will continue to be met in the months to come by introducing one-on-one occupational teletherapy.

Using a safe video-conferencing platform on your phone, iPad or laptop, your child will receive the patient, empathetic and professional Occupational Therapy they need from the comfort of their own homes. There are games to play and activities to try.

Let's keep connected, healthy and happy in the months ahead!
How would this work?
  • Through computer, laptop, tablet, Ipad or phone. Using a safe video conferencing platform. Sharing screens and interactive content to work on your child's goals.

How can an OT work on goal areas online?
  • Knowing your goals I would target activities and learning to meet these needs, just like in a 1:1 session. An example is if we focus on writing, your child could use a pen and paper in the video conference session at a table, or could use a stylus to interact with content in the teletherapy session.

What is required? Do I need extra equipment?
  • What is needed- a strong internet connection, and a device with webcam.
  • We can discuss this more in person, working to use what you have.

What would we do in an online therapy session :
  • Online games made for teletherapy
  • Fine Motor activities
  • Interact with worksheets via connection and computer
  • Social Skills
  • Taking turns
  • Play
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Videos
  • So much more…
